FunFACS Groups

Eight partners from four different legal entities and four different countries have joined to form the FunFACS consortium providing three pillars of equivalent importance : theory, fabrication, and experimentation. All these laboratories have contributed to CS and VCSEL state-of-the-art, each with its own expertise.

These partners are, grouped under the four legal entities:

  1. CNRS, France
    a. Laboratoire de Physique et Nanostructures (LPN, Marcoussis): experiment and fabrication,
    b. Institut Non Linéaire de Nice (INLN, Nice): experiment,
    c. Laboratoire d'Analyse et d'Architecture des Systèmes (LAAS, Toulouse): fabrication.
  2. INFM, Italy: theory
    a. Universita dellâ Insubria (Como)
    b. Politecnico di Bari (Bari).
  3. University of Strathclyde (USTRAT, Glasgow)
    a. Computational Nonlinear Optics Group (CNQO): Theory
    b. Photonics Group (Photonics): experiment
  4. ULM Photonics (UP, Germany): fabrication.
